About Us

Learn more about our mission and vision.

Our Vision

We strive to understand if and how climate change, chemical pollutants, physical exposures and toxic metals affect human health across the lifespan. We want to develop practical solutions to our today's pressing environmental challenges.

Our Mission

We aim to use community-centered approaches and promote solutions-oriented research. We are part of a rich network of researchers at Brown University and beyond that study the impact of climate change and the environment, and we aim to establish our research center as the hub for environmental health sciences at Brown. We will utilize our expertise in exposure science—whether measuring or modeling—to improve the health and well-being of all people.

Our Partners

Community Noise Lab

The lab’s primary aim is to holistically explore the relationship between community noise and health by working directly with communities to support their specific noise issues using real-time monitoring and exposure modeling.
